child Our Board members, comprised of adoptive parents, adoptees, birthparents and adoption professionals, have established our policy of providing personal service and tailoring our programs to fit each family. The entire staff shares this philosophy. Our domestic staff is experienced in the fields of social work, law and international relations. Our overseas connections include professionals in the medical and legal fields as well as experienced support staff who will accompany and guide you during each step of the adoption process abroad.

Services Provided

Complete Adoption Services:
We will meet all of your international adoption needs from start to finish. This includes guidance while choosing a country program, home study services for most California residents (or help locating a home study agency if outside our service area), assistance with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS, formerly INS), parent preparation classes and support groups. In any of our country programs, we will also identify a child who is eligible for intercountry adoption and facilitate the adoption through its completion. We provide travel resources or arrange escort services (when available). While abroad, our contacts provide complete support services through adoption finalization and American Embassy interviews. Once you return home, we are available for post-placement support and re-adoption services.

Home Study Services:
We provide a thorough and complete home study process for most California residents who are adopting through our programs, are working with another facilitating organization or those who have located a child through their own resources. Our home study department offers friendly, efficient service at a cost-effective fee with no wait. We will tailor your home study to meet the requirements of your facilitator and the country from which you adopt. We also assist families from all states by identifying and networking with organizations offering programs other than our own.

Relative Adoptions:
We provide adoption services for those wishing to adopt a relative who is under the age of 16, legally free for adoption in the country of origin, and who meets the CIS definition of an "orphan" (which does not require that both parents be deceased). Assistance for adopting a relative includes a home study and CIS support as well as post-placement services when required.
