We have been best friends since we were eleven years old. We were married in 1995 and have been happily married for 12 years. Our relationship is based on trust, open communication and above all, love. Our house is filled with laughter and lots of family. We feel as parents, we will provide a strong, stable foundation built on love, trust and openness for our child to grow. We also feel it is important to encourage their imagination through discovery and playfulness. With Amy going to be a stay at home mom and Dan being the owner of our cabinetry business, there will be many opportunities for us both to take an active part in our child's life whether it be school field trips or dance recitals.

"Amy is the love of my life. We complement each other so well, especially in standing by one another through thick & thin. She is very level headed and loving so I know she's going to make a great mom! I can't wait to see them playing the piano together and Amy teaching our child many wonderful things about music."

"Dan is the most compassionate, loving, caring man I have ever met. He is a great listener and fun to be with. He is kind and tender-hearted with everyone around him. He is a wonderful provider both emotionally as well as financially. Dan comes from a large family and has always wanted to be a father. I can't wait to see him playing soccer & catching lightning bugs with our child in the yard!"

We live in Lula, Georgia, a small town outside Atlanta that is a short drive to many destinations, such as the mountains, the beach, or the city. We live on 18 acres so there is plenty of room for our child to play and explore. We look forward to going on hikes, teaching our child to ride a bike and having picnics in the mountains. Our family also includes four pets, Max, Bailey, Gizmo and Mia. Our nieces and nephews love to play fetch with our dogs and can't wait for a new cousin to join them in the fun!

We both enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and playing with our dogs. Dan is adventurous and can't wait to teach our child how to put up a tent and roast marshmallows by the campfire. Amy loves nature, books and looks forward to spending time with our child exploring the woods, going on picnics and telling stories about their adventures. She also loves playing the piano and gardening and can't wait to have little hands in the dirt, or teaching our child to play the piano right beside her. We share a great passion for life and look forward to exploring the world with our child hand in hand.

Our family and friends are very supportive of our decision to adopt. Our parents have already started buying toys for our child and are already discussing who will have more babysitting time! Nana is excited to spoil our child with lots of kisses and teaching them all of her secret recipes. Grandma & Grandpa can't wait to take our child for ice cream. Grandma is also looking forward to making quilts for our child while Grandpa is looking forward to showing them the art of flying remote control planes. Our nieces and nephews are excited to have another cousin to play with while collecting shells and building sand castles on our annual vacation to the beach.

Our home will be one that our child will feel secure and will find the safety of loving arms. We will encourage imagination and discovery through education, playtime and travel. We want to give our child a strong foundation to build their future based on love and encouragement. We admire your courage and strength and we feel our child's life will be enriched by the gift of love that each one of us can give them.
