We have decided we'd like to adopt from America for several reasons. We are keen to adopt a newborn who we can love and care for from the earliest moments. We particularly like the 'open' nature of adoptions from the States, especially given James's own experience of having to search long and hard and overcome many obstacles to find his birth parents. We look forward to sending you photos and regular updates about your child to assure you they are having a happy and fulfilling life with us and telling our child all about you and that your decision was made out of love.

We believe the U.S system of adoption empowers the birthparents in a way that rarely happens in other countries. You, the birthparents get to choose who you want to be your child's parents which is very positive for everyone involved. The common language between us and the familiarity of American culture here in England can only be beneficial to all of us throughout the child's life. We will visit the States often and encourage an active interest in all things American. We can't wait to further explore your beautiful country ourselves.
