Hi, we are Josephine and Joseph. We appreciate you taking the time to get to know us by reading our letter. We want you to know that this is one of the hardest and toughest letters that we ever had to write. As we started to write this letter we realized that there is so much we have in common with you. We are all facing a very challenging time in our lives right now. A time that will no doubt change our lives forever. We realize that for you this must be the toughest decision you will ever have to make and our hearts go out to you with lots of love and support and the belief that better times are ahead for all of us. We want you to know that you are a very special person in our lives and a very special person in our hearts. We thank you for having the courage and love to place your child for adoption and appreciate the care that you are taking in selecting a family that will give your baby all that you wish for. Let us assure you that we can provide your child with love, happiness, laughter, caring, nurturing in a very stable environment. We will do our best to put your mind somewhat at ease by letting you know how much it means to us to become parents. If we are the family that you decide to choose, we promise to honor and reward your trust by giving your child our love and the love of our extended family forever. We hope that you will see that we can provide a wonderful life for your child, a life that we can all feel great about. We Are Very Grateful For The Chance To Introduce Ourselves To You We have known each other for eight years and have been happily married for 7 years. We met at a Catholic Singles Dance. That night Joseph came over to me and asked me to dance. What I liked about Joseph was that he was well mannered, soft spoken and shy. He was tall and handsome and very smart. I was attracted to him. We hit it off right away. We started out as friends and it blossomed. We dated for one year and then we married in August 2000. We have a very strong marriage. The foundation of our relationship is based on respect, love, admiration, trust, and commitment. We are open minded progressive couple who value education, arts, nature, family, friends, traveling, and also kindness and diversity. We believe our faith in God's love is the foundation of our marriage, and it plays an important part in our daily lives. We are each other's best friend, spend lots of quality time together and are very affectionate. We love to read, and love to discuss ideas and topics ranging from spirituality to nutrition, psychology, and world events. We enjoy movies, concerts, barbecues, exercising, going for walks in the park, cooking delicious meals at home, beaches, theater, museums, working out, and browsing in stores. We also share a great love of nature and outdoor activities. We canāt wait to share this with our child. We also enjoy listening to different types of music such as pop, jazz, and classical. Although we work hard throughout the day, we feel that evenings and weekends should be dedicated to family time and family activities. Meal times are special to us, we love to cook up a storm. We spend many of our after work hours around the house, taking walks in all types of weather, and unwinding in front of the television. We love to snuggle with a good book or a good movie. On the weekends, we enjoy visiting friends, or family, trying different restaurants, going to new places, or just puttering around the house. We especially love going into the city. There is so much to do and see in the city. We love going to Broadway shows, museums, and browsing in the different shops, seeing many historical sites. There is so much culture to see and we love it. We canāt wait to expose our child to all of this. Traveling is one of our favorite activities. We love going to the Bahamas. We go there quite often. We have been to Canada, Mexico, Turks and Caicos Islands, and plan to go to Europe. We also like to go on day trips whether it is the Amish Country, or to Upstate New York, and shopping malls. In the warm weather, we love to barbecue and invite our family and friends over and we have a lot of get togethers. Our wedding day was one that we will never forget. Our family and friends were represented in church and we had one of our happiest days. That evening we celebrated with a dinner dance in a beautiful catering hall with 100 close friends and family. We danced the whole night. It was so wonderful. We spent our honey moon in Nassau Bahamas. We are a warm and loving couple wishing to become parents. We have longed for a child for the last seven years. We had many failures and disappointments while undergoing numerous infertility treatments. These fertility treatments have been very painful and emotionally and financially draining. Although our relationship has gotten stronger and closer throughout, we have realized that if we were never blessed with a child in our lives, we would never experience one of the greatest joys in our life and that is to become parents. This is something in our lives that we do not want to miss. We have a strong faith and believe that God intended for us to create our family through adoption. We also would like you to know that there is nothing that we want more in our life than to share it with a son or daughter, and we really appreciate sharing the joy and love in our lives with a child. We can hardly wait for this journey of parenthood to begin, and we want all of it, from rocking the baby in our arms to wiping runny noses, comforting tears, reading bed time stories, and sharing in joys. We will love your child everyday unconditionally. We believe that children should be raised through love and understanding, guidance, teaching, plenty of patience and of course with a good dose of humor. We believed in teaching children from the earliest of age, the wonders of learning, the value of family and the importance of kindness and respect. We realize that being a family means sharing both fun times and challenging times together. As parents we will always strive to bring out the best in our child, discover and support his or her talents and encourage the enjoyment of learning throughout our son or daughters life. Our child will get lots of encouragement, lots of love, attention, warm hugs and lots of kisses. We will guide and nurture them to grow, thrive and become their unique and special selves. We strongly believe that education is a lifetime ticket to opportunity. Our child will get the best education possible. Our parents instilled in us a strong emphasis on helping others and getting the best education possible. We want to pass these values to our children. We also hope to help the child discover and develop his/her abilities and qualities. We believe that kids need consistency and routine in their lives, some creative discipline, and they should learn responsibility for themselves and others. About Joseph by Josephine Joseph graduated from a University with a Degree in Computer Science. He works for a Radio Station where he is a System Analyst. He's been with the company for 12 years. Joseph is hardworking, responsible, supportive, caring, fun-loving person who has a sincere heart and lots of energy. His fun loving and down to earth personality are what makes him so special to everyone he meets. He is such a nice guy. He makes me feel very special, so loved. Joseph is honest and shows a lot of respect for everyone by speaking and acting from his heart. He is my dearest and best friend. He has a good sense of humor and is a kid at heart. Joseph makes everyone feel safe, secure and relax. He is always making my little nephews laugh and they love him so much. He is also very handy around the house and is able to fix anything. He could figure how to do anything. If Joseph wants to learn more information on something, he will research it in detail. Joseph will be a wonderful and devoted father. He will be a father that will love to travel with his children, play games with them, have fun with them but at the same time can have a serious conversation with them. He will give our child so much love, attention and will always be there for our child. Joseph works hard and is very committed in taking care of the family. Joseph has several hobbies. He loves electronics, reading, fitness, computers, sports, gardening, history and learning. He has a thirst for knowledge. He is a very energetic person. He loves to keep active. He enjoys working around the home and taking care of the yard. Joseph has one brother and we are very close. His mother lives only 10 minutes away from us, and she is very excited about us adopting. She cannot wait to be a grand mother. Joseph canāt wait to teach our child how to ride a bike and play sports. He is looking forward to parenthood. About Josephine by Joseph Josephine graduated from college with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology. She currently works in a hospital in the Human Resources Department. The minute I met Josephine, I knew she was bright, warm hearted and had a great way with people. Josephine has a wonderfully warm, fun loving personality and is also very nurturing. Everybody loves her and looks up to her and young kids are attracted to her. She has an outgoing personality. She is a peoples person and has been told by numerous individuals that she has patience of a saint. Josephine is the warmest, kindness most loving person that I have ever met. She is a beautiful person inside and out. I fell in love with her because she has a big heart. She will be an amazing mom who will be so dedicated to her child and is looking forward to motherhood. Josephine is also dependable and trustworthy. She makes everybody feel at home. She loves to have fun. Josephine will be a mother who will always be there for her child. She will do her best everyday to be a wonderful, fun loving mom. Josephine has so much love to give to a child. She will shower her child with lots of hugs and kisses. Josephine canāt wait to be a full time mom and a teacher to our child when we are fortunate enough to adopt. Her hobbies consist of reading books on nutrition, health and fitness, needlepoint, planting. She loves to exercise, jog and keeping herself fit. Josephine loves to cook. She loves cooking healthy dishes and Italian food. Josephine loves learning new material. She is a very energetic person and her little nephews just adore her and are so excited at the prospect of having a new cousin who they can play with.,Our families are very important to us. We are both raised in a wonderful, close knit Italian American Roman Catholic families. I have two sisters who both have two boys of their own. Joe has one brother. We are all so close. We always celebrate the holidays together. Our holiday gatherings consist of at least 20 people and are filled with excitement. Christmas especially is a wonderful time of year for us. We spend time together at my sisters house. We have a big dinner and we all exchange gifts. We canāt wait to add presents under the tree for a little one. We both come from great families that always show their love and support. Everyone is so excited about adding another seat at the table for a special new member of the family. The excitement and support we have received from family and friends about adopting has been overwhelming. Everyone is waiting with open arms. We feel very blessed to have such a close, loving family who are all so supportive of our decision to adopt. Josephine's dad is a retired banker, he worked for a bank for 42 years. Joe's dad was an engineer and sadly is no longer with us, he was married to his mother Nicole for 44 years. Our Home We live in a beautiful, quiet, residential neighborhood. We live in a one family brick home. We bought our house last summer with the intention that we will adopt and raise a family. Our neighborhood is filled with a lot of children. There are a variety of excellent schools, playgrounds, parks and sports facilities. On the corner of our house, there is a beautiful large park filled with trees. It is great for young families. There are always activities going on in the park during the year. They have a circus that comes to the park in the spring. They have painting, drawing, children's musicals, concerts, shows, games and rides. The park has tennis courts, a court to play wall sports, there is a round path for people who want to jog, roller blade, bike ride, or to do just brisk walking. There is also a big baseball field and a special park within for little kids to play. The people in our neighborhood are so nice and everybody seems to be so caring. Everybody looks out for each other. It is safe here and the people are open and friendly. This is the perfect place to raise children. Our child will have a lot of friends here top lay with. Our neighborhood has a lot of functions, including block parties in the summer. We look forward to taking our child to the costume parades, egg hunts, and to the local youth activities. There are also three beaches nearby. Our home consists of a living room, dining room, eat in kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, three bedrooms upstairs and a beautiful finished basement. We already set a room aside for the baby room. We have a beautiful large deck overlooking the yard. In the front of our house there is a pretty walkway with a garden filled with flowers and green bushes. And Finally We are so excited about fulfilling our lifelong dream of becoming parents and are thrilled and grateful that you would consider allowing us to welcome your baby into our lives.
