Interesting International Family Wanting to Share Our Fascinating Lives

Michael and ElizabethWe are Michael, Elizabeth and Emma from England. We live far away but we feel close to you as you try to decide what is best for your baby and we want to help in whatever way we can. We adopted Emma two years ago and she is a dream come true. We loved Emma the moment we saw her and we know that we will feel the same love for our second child. We're having a wonderful time being parents and continue to be amazed by the joy that adoption has brought to our lives.

We met in Mozambique, Africa, were married in 1995, and then spent what felt like a year long honeymoon working in Africa. Michael ran a United Nations program while Elizabeth worked in a hospital and started a soccer team for young children who were living on the streets. It was an amazing time in our lives.

Michael comes from England. After college he joined the British army, leaving five years later as a captain. He then went to Cambodia and worked at deactivating landmines that were in areas where civilians could be injured. Michael now works in London for the British Diplomatic Service. Next year he will start work as a Deputy Ambassador in Africa and we will live there for a few years. He loves his work and the fact that his job is to try to make the world a better place. Now that he's a dad (his most important job) Michael is even more devoted to making the world a safer place.

Michael, Elizabeth and EmmaElizabeth comes from Massachusetts. She is a Physician's Assistant and also runs a charitable foundation that supports disadvantaged children and works to protect the environment. For many years Elizabeth was an avid horseback rider and she still rides as often as possible. She also likes to write, swim and take long walks in the country with Michael and Emma and our two dogs. Elizabeth most of all loves being a full time mom and spending her days with Emma.

We now live in a beautiful village about thirty minutes from London. We are surrounded by forests and trails and there are wonderful playgrounds, adventure parks and museums that Emma really enjoys. The schools are excellent and there are lots of fun activities for children. Emma already loves her music classes and toddler groups.

Our Home and Family

Our HomeWe live in a big old stone house on three and a half acres of lawns and garden. Emma has a treehouse, swing and slide that she would love to share with her little brother or sister. There's so much room to play and everything is very safe for children here. Michael's parents and sister and her family live near enough so that we can all get together frequently. Elizabeth comes from a family of eight and Emma has fifteen cousins on that side of the family. We travel regularly to the U.S. to see everyone and we often visitors from Elizabeth's family in our home. We feel so fortunate to have such a large and loving and fun family.
