Their parents came to Port au Prince seeking help after the flood then disappeared without the two oldest boys. The orphanage director found the parents and asked if they intended to come back for Jameson and Edson. They said no and gave her Michael as well. The parents have completed a Questionnaire for Adoption pertaining to all three boys. Michael is healthy and growing. He is a happy boy, apparently just not in the mood for a photo. Michael has a strong personality. When he says "no" he means it! He is attached to one staff member and a woman that visits regularly. He speaks appropriately for his age and knows everyones name at the Creche. Michael has medical records and is HIV negative. Family history is known and his parents visit. Edson was admitted to St. Joseph's Creche 12/1/2007 with his brothers Jameson and Michael. He was malnourished at the time. He is happy and healthy now. Edson goes out to school and is doing well. He is very close to his brother Jameson. He is a charming young man with a great smile. Edson's first Sickle Cell Anemia test came back as positive. He was given a second test which was negative. The first positive could have been a false positive because of malnutrition. He appears healthy and is growing and does not complain of the symptoms that accompany Sickle Cell. Has medical records, is HIV negative. Family history is known and his parents do visit. Jameson came to St. Joseph's Creche with his brothers on 12/01/2007. He was malnourished at that time.
