Gayle H. Swift
An adoptive mother of two now-adult children, Gayle is a certified coach, co-founder of Growing Intentional Families Together, an award-winning author, former teacher and foster parent. A sixty-year survivor of ovarian cancer, she believes in the joy of the present moment and the blessing of family relationships. Gayle has zip-lined in Costa Rica, Para-glided in Peru, hiked the citadel of Machu Picchu, and kayaked in Antarctica. But parenting proved to be the greatest adventure of her life.
She collaborated on both ABC, Adoption & Me: A Multicultural Picture Book for Adoptive Families and We’re Adopted, So What? with her daughter Dr. Casey Swift. Gayle also wrote Reimagining Adoption: What Adoptees Seek from Families and Faith with Sally Ankerfelt one of the other co-founders of Growing Intentional Families Together, an adoption coaching and training firm. They trust that these books will support adoptees and the families who love them.
